**New brand alert!!** Here at Friends we love Made in America products and we love work wear, which makes Stay Ray clothing the perfect fit for our store. We are currently carrying two styles of Stan Ray pants - the original painter's pant (a style that dates back to the 70s) and the 80s update to the painter's pant, which has a more tapered leg than it's OG counterpart. Another reason we are obsessed with Stan Ray is the clothing is unisex - we have the pants styled on women, but they are made for men too!
Stan Ray has been made in Crockett, Texas since 1972 by Earl's Apparel. Earl's is family owned and operated by the Beard family. They are a small manufacturing company that prioritizes quality workmanship - each pair of pants is hand cut and sewn to order.
We got a glimpse into the factory with these photos taken by Todd Nisbet and wanted to share them with you. You can see the care that goes into production at Earl's Apparel and we love seeing the faces behind this quality American-made product.
Yes Stan Ray pants are fashionable - hello work wear trend. But, they are made to function for actual work and are the preferred pants for many American trade workers. In fact, Earl's supplies job-site pants for paint stores across the country. Some of the details that make these pants durable: 10 oz raw denim, triple chain stitched flat felled seams, and bar tacked stress points.
By purchasing Stan Ray pants, you are supporting the local economy and American manufacturing. Plus you can look cute while doing it!
